Do I need the RES licence before we talk?
No. Plenty of people speak to us while they're still deciding whether to sit the exam. We'll walk you through the course, the cost, the timeline and the realistic first-year picture so you can decide with actual numbers.
How long does it take to close a first deal?
It varies, and anyone who gives you a guaranteed number is selling. What we can tell you is that agents who follow the 90-day launch plan consistently get to their first transaction meaningfully faster than those who improvise. We'll show you the activity numbers behind that.
I'm switching careers and I have commitments. Is this realistic?
It's a real question and it deserves a real answer, not encouragement. In the chat we'll map your runway, your fixed costs and how many months of buffer you'd want before starting. Sometimes our advice is to wait a few months. That's fine.
What does it actually cost to start?
Course and exam fees, licence registration, professional indemnity, and your own marketing budget. We'll give you a full itemised breakdown with current figures during the consultation — no estimates, no hidden extras.
I'm terrible at cold calling. Is there another way?
Yes, and it's the route many of our agents take. Content, referral systems and digital lead generation can carry a business. That said, we'll still teach you calling, because being able to hold a phone conversation confidently makes every other channel work better.
I'm already producing. What would actually change for me?
Usually three things: leverage (systems and AI doing what you currently do manually), visibility (a personal brand that generates inbound), and structure (weekly coaching that keeps your pipeline forecastable). We'll look at your current numbers and be specific about where the gap is.
Will I have to give up my existing clients or brand?
No. Your relationships are yours. We help you package and position what you've already built — most agents find their existing database becomes far more productive once there's a follow-up system behind it.
How is the coaching structured?
A weekly group session covering market, skills and role-play, plus one-to-one time on your own pipeline. New agents get more frequent check-ins during the first 90 days.
What if I'm not tech-savvy?
Most of the division wasn't when they started. We teach the AI stack the same way we teach scripts — one tool at a time, with templates you copy first and customise later. Nobody is expected to arrive knowing this.
Is there a quota or commitment period?
PropNex has its own agency requirements, which we'll go through openly. Within the division, we ask for participation in weekly coaching — because the system only works if you're in the room.
Do you support HDB, private, commercial and new launch?
All of them. Most agents start where their network naturally sits and broaden from there. We'll help you choose a starting focus rather than trying to be everywhere at once in year one.
How big is the division, and will I get lost in it?
We deliberately cap how many new agents we onboard each quarter, because mentorship stops being mentorship past a certain ratio. If we're at capacity, we'll tell you and give you a date.
What happens at the coffee chat?
Around 45 minutes. You talk about where you are and what you want; we show you the framework, the tools and the honest economics. No presentation deck ambush, no same-day signing.
Can we do it over Zoom instead?
Of course — same conversation, same length. Zoom is often easier if you're currently working full-time or based overseas.
What if I decide it's not for me?
Then you'll have spent 45 minutes getting a clear picture of the industry from people who've been in it a long time. We'd rather you make an informed no than an uninformed yes.
